Same beans, different form. Whole bean stays fresher longer (roughly twice as long once opened) and lets you match grind size to your brew method for maximum flavor. Ground is convenient — no grinder needed, brew immediately. If you already own a grinder, whole bean wins. If not, ground coffee is one less step.

Store in an airtight container at room temperature, away from heat, light, and moisture. Avoid the fridge or freezer — temperature swings cause condensation that dulls flavor. Use within 4-6 weeks of opening for peak taste.
Not special, just consistent. Burr grinders (both blade-and-burr) produce more even grind sizes than blade grinders and yield better-tasting coffee. Blade grinders work in a pinch but produce uneven particle sizes that can lead to over- or under-extraction.
Cold brew concentrate (150-200 mg per 8 oz), then French press or percolator (110-180 mg), then drip and pour-over (95-130 mg), then Aeropress (90-130 mg). Espresso is concentrated but small (60-80 mg per 1 oz shot). See our complete caffeine reference.

Yes — about 2-5 mg per 8 oz cup. The Swiss Water decaf process removes 99.9% of caffeine, but trace amounts remain. This is true of all decaf coffee, regardless of process.
By weight, light and dark roasts are essentially equal. By volume (a scoop or tablespoon), light roast has slightly more because the beans are denser. The difference is small — roughly 10% more per cup.
